Four years ago on June 22, Human Coalition helped save its first baby from abortion. Since that time, we’ve helped rescue more than 2,000 babies from the brink of death by pairing abortion-determined women with life-affirming pregnancy centers through compassion-driven technology, sparing them from the lies that are told at nearby abortion facilities… Yet, none of this would be possible without supporters like you.
As Human Coalition just helped rescue our 2,000th baby, we want to take a look back at some of the most incredible life-save stories we’ve experienced so far in 2014…
“Cherise” came to Human Coalition as a 44-year-old woman who’d been involved in a monogamous relationship for over a year. As a professing Christian, she was ashamed of her circumstance and convinced that an abortion was the only way to avoid being judged and rejected by the people in her church. But when Human Coalition helped guide Cherise to a participating life-affirming pregnancy center, her despondency faded. With the help of a compassionate staff member, the staff helped Cherise realize that nothing happens outside of God’s will — even an unplanned pregnancy. With her boyfriend by her side, Cherise left the life-affirming pregnancy center feeling confident that God would walk with her through this pregnancy.
“Tanya” had spent most of her adult life in and out of drug rehabilitation centers. Although she’d been clean for several years, a recent setback had left her feeling depressed and hopeless. Then a positive pregnancy test confirmed Tanya’s worst fears and led her to search for information about abortion via the Internet. Fortunately, she found Human Coalition first and visited a life-affirming pregnancy center where she found freedom and forgiveness from her past mistakes and received encouragement to choose LIFE for her unborn child. Today, Tanya remains drug free and will soon give birth to her baby!
When “Chelsea” told her boyfriend she was pregnant, he insisted she terminate her pregnancy. Young and still in high school, neither of them felt like they could successfully parent a child. However, when Human Coalition paired this young couple with a participating life-affirming pregnancy center, Chelsea and her boyfriend quickly discovered they had access to resources and services that would equip them to parent their child. Feeling empowered and encouraged, the young couple later accepted their responsibility as parents and have since welcomed their daughter into the world!
As a mother of four who’d been separated from her children’s father for almost six months, “Deanne” never imagined she’d be pricing abortions online. Yet, with her marriage falling apart and her children demanding most of her time, Deanne felt as though she had no other choice after she discovered she was pregnant with another man’s child. That’s when Human Coalition connected with her and led her to a participating life-affirming pregnancy center. When Deanne entered that center’s doors with her estranged husband by her side, she was greeted with love and compassion. After several subsequent meetings with the center’s staff, Deanne and her husband eventually reconciled their marriage and, more importantly, agreed to give this child life.
