Director of HR (Plano, TX)

Human Coalition is thrilled to be expanding, adding vibrant leadership to its Human Resources Department. The Director of Human Resources oversees all activities related to HR, while promoting a safe environment and ensuring that high quality, efficient processes are followed. 

 This position is responsible for aligning the paid and unpaid workforce with Human Coalition’s goals and core values and overseeing recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, benefits and compensation.   

Key Capabilities and Experience 

  • Builds and fosters effective working relationships with employees and managers to promote a high level of employee engagement
  • Leads recruiting process, conducts interviews, runs background checks and makes recommendations for hiring decisions
  • Works closely with Senior Management to promote Human Coalition’s core principles
  • Maintains and builds HR processes and procedures to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws
  • Implements and annually updates compensation program; writes job descriptions and oversees the performance review process
  • Manages volunteer program, including policies and records
  • Administers employee orientation program
  • Assesses employee training needs, initiates and manages program
  • Knowledge and experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, benefits and compensation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources
