Matt Krause

Board Member

Matt Krause spent a decade serving in the Texas House of Representatives. From 2013 – 2023, he represented House District 93 in Tarrant County. In his last term, he served as the Chairman of the General Investigating Committee. During his five terms in the House, Matt was consistently recognized for his efforts to defend and advance religious liberties. He has been named a “Faith and Family Champion” several times by faith based organizations. He has also received special recognition by pro-life groups for his efforts to defend the preborn.

Matt currently serves as a County Commissioner of Precinct 3 in Tarrant County. Matt Krause also is honored to serve as Of Counsel with First Liberty Institute and is a professor of American government and law with Liberty University.

Matt was also part of the inaugural class at Liberty University School of Law. During his time in law school, Matt served as the President of the Student Bar Association, was an Editor for the Law Review, and was a member of the national moot court team. He graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Matt graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from San Diego Christian College. During college, he was a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete for the men’s basketball team.

Matt and his wife, Jennie, have five kids and live in the Fort Worth area. They are active members of their church where they help with a youth Sunday School class.
