Charla Felt Inadequate to Parent

Although Charla had escaped an abusive relationship, she continued to suffer from anxiety and depression. Struggling to cope, Charla felt totally inadequate to parent her child. But our team didn’t allow her to suffer alone. We came alongside Charla to empower her and prove she is capable of being a great mom.

Through our Continuum of Care program, we connected Charla with local services that would assist her financially, emotionally, and spiritually. We paired Charla with a caring mentor, so she would have someone to turn to when the road got tough.

It’s incredible how immediate, compassionate care can make all the difference between life and death. As soon as Charla realized she had a support system to help her, choosing life was no longer out of the question.

Right now, Human Coalition is looking to raise $50,000 to help provide immediate care to at-risk women, like Charla.
