Pro-life states have no way to stop mail-order abortion pills from flooding their borders.
After Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022, many states immediately moved to protect preborn children from abortion even in the earliest stages of pregnancy. In fact, about half of U.S. states protect children from either the moment of conception or when their heartbeat can be detected (around 5 weeks of pregnancy, or 3 weeks after conception).
But despite these significant legal protections, U.S. abortion numbers didn’t go down. How is this possible? The answer, in part, is unchecked mail-order abortion.
Abortion pills can be ordered online by anyone, into any state. That’s because the law that prohibits mailing abortion pills across state lines can only be enforced by the federal government — not pro-life states, like Texas — and the federal government isn’t enforcing it.
We created this video to document how easy it is for anyone (not just a pregnant adult) to order abortion pills and have them shipped straight into a pro-life state for a clandestine illegal abortion.
What can you do?
Above all else, pray for the protection of life in every state. Pray for elected and appointed leaders to recognize and address the injustice of mail-order abortion (and all abortion). And pray for the moms who feel they have no other choice but to order these pills online. We can and must do so much better for our nation’s women and children.
