I’m sometimes asked why Human Coalition is so focused on rescuing babies from abortion as opposed to helping women or families.  I find the question a bit odd, since the path to saving babies must first (and obviously) run through the parents.

Though we are very passionate about saving babies from abortion, the reality is we don’t save babies unless we first help rescue the parents from making an abortion decision.

Human Coalition understands that ending abortion in America is about sharing compassion, truth, grace, and help with abortion-minded parents and other decision-makers.  It is the family’s change of heart that ultimately rescues the child from death in the womb.

I often run across people who believe abortion is here to stay in America and that it is impossible to end it.  That’s simply not true.  Many, many times parents choose abortion out of ignorance, pressure, or panic.  When parents are given accurate information, a non-judgmental place to express their concerns, and are connected to others who can genuinely help them, they very often choose life.

They also choose to spare themselves and their loved ones from the pain and grief of abortion. Abortion has been linked to numerous, very serious conditions such as physical abuse, child abuse, emotional trauma, depression, relationship problems, and physical ailments.  Rescuing the child also rescues the family from the frequent and debilitating consequences of abortion.

Though Human Coalition is deeply committed to the unborn, we are also deeply committed to the family.  And if you reach the family with the proper help at the proper time, you save the baby.

For Life!
