“While Americans flock to churches to receive their brand of ‘feel-good’ preaching, innocent lives are being lost to abortion…”

Since its launch earlier this year, the Human Coalition Podcast has become a leading voice in addressing the cultural impact of abortion in America. And our most recent sit-down interview with Dr. Jim Denison is no exception. As Founder of the Denison Forum on Truth and Culture, Dr. Denison recently visited Online for Life to share biblical insights on how the American church can engage the culture in a conversation about the sacredness of life.
Drawing heavily on his expertise as a cultural Christian commentator, Denison provides keen understanding into why many American churches have abdicated their responsibility to stand up for the unborn:

“As culture becomes increasingly dark and chaotic, people want church to be a place of tranquility. They don’t want to come to church and grapple with the same issues they deal with on Monday. They want a retreat. And unfortunately, many pastors avoid controversial issues to help the bottom line.”

Denison goes on to discuss steps the church can take to reengage the culture for LIFE and restore a sense of duty in defending the unborn.

“If the church meets the felt needs of women facing unplanned pregnancies, they will earn the right to share the love of Christ with them.”

With nearly 7 out of 10 women who get an abortion reporting some type of religious affiliation (per a 2011 study published by the Guttmacher Institute), this conversation regarding the church and abortion is long overdue.

Don’t miss this thought-provoking and honest interview with Dr. Jim Denison of the Denison Forum.
