4000 Steps Experience a Success!

What an incredible time we had at the 4000 Steps Experience. Over 400 walkers came together and raised more than $150,000 to help our efforts to reach women, rescue children from abortion, and restore families in our community.

Even though the weather was a bit cold, spirits were up and the atmosphere was warm and festive. All the staff and volunteers came together with 30+ churches represented, as over 300 people celebrated life on Saturday morning, March 30.

Cool Temps and Warm Hearts

We enjoyed a beautiful time of worship, an update from National Director of Client Services Lori Szala, face painting, bounce houses, and food. We also heard Cinthia’s story of transformation, which stirred our hearts and reminded us of the purpose of the 4000 Steps Experience: enabling people to walk a mile in the shoes of one of our clients, like Cinthia, to better understand the challenges a client faces when she chooses LIFE; and to discover how the Human Coalition family – and people like you – have helped her flourish!

Human Coalition’s Director of Strategic Partnership, Meg McCrory said, “When we all do something by faithfully taking steps forward, God does an amazing work! While we can’t all do everything, we can all do something.”

For example, we reached the event goal because over 400 walkers said yes to using their voice to inspire and encourage others to support this mission. In just one week, we saw $60,000 come in!

It’s Not Too Late to Get Involved

Participants learned about some tangible ways to get involved with Human Coalition, and each one received a “next step” card to help them apply what they learned. We will be reviewing these cards in the coming days and someone from our team will be following up with those who expressed interest, helping them with their chosen next steps.

If you were unable to attend the 4000 Steps Experience on Saturday, there’s still time to get involved. Please contact Dottie at [email protected] or fill out the form below to get a copy of the next step card. And if you did attend and took a next step card home with you, please drop it by the clinic or mail it to Dottie’s attention at 2401 Ira E. Woods, Suite 300, Grapevine, TX 76051.

Our hope is that this event inspired every walker to “go the extra mile” for women in our community who need support, like Cinthia.

With you by our side, we will see abortion ended in our lifetime by reaching moms in need, rescuing precious babies, and restoring families – one at a time.
