Volunteers are the heart and soul of how we serve the families who come to our clinics looking for help. Support the mission by serving as a volunteer.
Here are several ways to get involved at a Human Coalition women’s care clinic:
Parenting Class Instructor: Lead parenting classes for clients who have chosen life for their child and are first-time parents. Teach parenting tools and educate on subjects such as… feeding your baby, choosing a pediatrician, immunizations, disciplining your child, and much more. Commitment: Make your own schedule with the clients. Typically, four 1-hour classes per client.
Childbirth Class Instructor: Teach first-time mothers how to prepare for labor and delivery. Subjects include available medications, C-sections, breathing techniques, and more. Commitment: Make your own schedule with the clients. Typically, three 1-hour classes per client.
Ongoing Care Volunteers: Assist our nurses and Care Coordinators by making monthly follow-up calls to clients throughout their pregnancy and until they deliver. Make sure she comes by the clinic, with her baby, to pick up a baby gift to celebrate the birth of her little one. Commitment: Once or twice a month to make the follow-up phone calls.
Administrative Office Help: Assist the women’s care clinic staff with specific administrative projects. Light administrative duties could include filing, scanning, shredding, assisting with spreadsheet projects, organizing volunteers for special events, etc. Commitment: Once or twice a month for 2 hours.
Continuum of Care Mentors: Volunteer to walk beside a woman, father-to-be, or couple who has chosen life. Be a role model; coach them in making good lifestyle choices; join them at the food bank or a doctor’s appointment. Special training is provided for this position. Commitment: Once a week for six months.
Events Team Volunteer: Assist the clinic when hosting special events, large fundraisers, and open houses. Assist with setup and teardown. Decorate. Bake. Utilize your administrative skills with registration. And so much more. Commitment: A few times a year.

I am in St. Louis, MO. Are there any other volunteer services, other than being prayer partner, that I could perform on a remote basis? I have professional experience in financial services industry (over 35 years)

I’m not sure how to help. I don’t think there’s any place near where I’m at. Wheeling WV doesn’t have much.
It’s difficult for me to get out. I can’t drive and depression makes it even more complicated. I want to help but I’m not sure what I can do.
